All dressed in white with a hint of gold
They risk their life heart and soul
above our skies
hidden from our searching eyes

It takes a man or women great
in body, strength of an ape
In mind, ability to see
into deep twisted mystery

Count down requires nerve
but these brave souls never swerve
they stay on course till the end
fulfill the mission then descend

Flying faster than life itself
away from even themselves
the glide across the sky
100 miles high

Sputnik was not for love but
Hubble was for passion
Space brings us close with interaction
Proof enough of Gods existence
the magnificence cannot be random incidence

It may deal with politics for some
Those nations ever liberal
these men and women are by far
The bravest, for they risk the most for the least

It’s also my dream
To sail the skies
And be in God’s watchful eyes
